The keys and what happens
Where it works Windows 11
Key names are shown separately, not as a keyboard layout. A + between key boxes means combine them. A box named Plus means the actual Plus key. Follow the steps below for alternatives.
How to use it
Hold Windows and press Plus to open Magnifier or zoom in, then release the keys. On many keyboards Plus shares the equals key; use Shift too if your keyboard needs it. Hold Windows, press Minus and release both to zoom out. Hold Windows, press Escape, then release both to close Magnifier.
What to watch for
Magnifier enlarges your view, not the saved content. Its full-screen, lens and docked views behave differently. For just one browser page, the browser zoom shortcuts may be more suitable.
You can learn this shortcut without pressing it here. The real keys act on your computer or the app you are using.
When would you use it?
The menus and buttons across Windows are too small to read right now. Which use fits?
