Find your recent browser downloads: Ctrl + J
When this helps
Read the idea, learn the key combination and answer a question about when it would help.
Know when and how to find your recent browser downloads.
The browser's Downloads list helps you find items transferred through that browser. It can show a recent file and its progress, so you do not have to remember every file name or download time.

The keys and what happens
Where it works Microsoft Edge on Windows. These shortcuts also work in Chrome; other apps may behave differently.
Key names are shown separately, not as a keyboard layout. A + between key boxes means combine them. A box named Plus means the actual Plus key. Follow the steps below for alternatives.
How to use it
With the browser in front, hold Ctrl, tap J once, then release both keys. Edge opens its Downloads list; Chrome opens a Downloads page. Read the item names and status. If offered, click Show in folder once to find a completed file in File Explorer.
What to watch for
Opening this list does not start a new download or open every file. The list belongs to this browser and may include items that have since been moved or deleted. It is different from File Explorer's Downloads folder, which is a storage location. Only open a file when you recognise it and trust its source; listing it here does not establish safety.
You can learn this shortcut without pressing it here. The real keys act on your computer or the app you are using.
